The Scriptures

We believe that the Scriptures are the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God, breathed out by God through human authors by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Because God is perfect and true, His Word is without error and is completely true. Scripture is eternal, living and active, sufficient, and the supreme and final authority. It reveals God's will, His plan of salvation, and the principles by which He will judge mankind. We believe that everything God has spoken in His Word is true and that His promises will be fulfilled because God is faithful and cannot lie.

The True God

We believe in one living and true God, Jehovah, who is self-existent, infinite, all-powerful, and eternal. He is Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. His glory is inexpressible, His nature unchangeable, and He alone is worthy of all honor, confidence, worship, and love. He created all things by His Word and sustains His creation according to His sovereign will. There is no one like Him.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father. He mercifully concerns Himself with His creation, hears and answers prayer according to His will, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God . He is the image of the invisible God and the Word who was with God and was God. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a perfect, righteous, and sinless life, fulfilling the law of God in perfect obedience.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is our Redeemer, our Savior, our High Priest, our Intercessor, and the spotless Lamb of God. He willingly gave Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, bearing the penalty and wrath due to us and satisfying the righteousness and justice of God.

Jesus physically died, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now intercedes for His people. He will personally and visibly return to earth in glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit. He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment, and He regenerates, sanctifies, seals, indwells, empowers, teaches, comforts, and guides every believer in Christ.

The Holy Spirit produces spiritual fruit in believers and enables those who belong to Christ to grow in holiness, obey God's Word, glorify God through their lives, and faithfully serve Him.

Man, Creation, and the Fall

We believe that God created mankind in His own image and gave mankind dominion over the earth, setting humanity apart from the rest of creation in identity, dignity, and responsibility. God created mankind as male and female, equal in essence, dignity, and value, yet distinct in function and physical attributes according to His divine design.

God originally created man holy and in fellowship with Himself. Through Adam's willing disobedience, sin entered the world and mankind fell from that state of holiness. Therefore, all mankind are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice. We have all broken God's law and possess no righteousness of our own. Apart from God's saving grace, we stand under His just condemnation and deserve eternal punishment.

The Way of Salvation

We believe that salvation is by the grace of God alone and is not earned by any work or righteousness of man. Through Jesus’ perfect life, substitutionary death, and bodily resurrection, He accomplished everything necessary for our salvation.

We must repent and believe the Jesus. Salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, apart from works. All who call upon the name of the Lord in sincere repentance and faith will be saved.

Jesus is the core reason why we do what we do at Magnify. Through the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, and through faith in God's just judgment and perfect plan of redemption, we are brought from death to life and indwelt by His Holy Spirit. Because of God's rich mercy and steadfast love toward us, we overflow with gratitude, worship, love, and a desire to make Him known.

At Magnify, we believe this astounding news produces three primary responses in us:

1. We glorify God through our lives.
We are enabled by the Holy Spirit to glorify God through our actions. This affects all that we do, both inside and outside of our classes, as we seek to walk in obedience to God's Word and display the fruit of the Spirit.

2. We respond with gratitude and praise.
We overflow with thanksgiving. Knowing God's rich mercy, steadfast love, holiness, justice, and grace drives us to praise Him for who He is, for all He has done, for all He is doing, and for all He will do.

3. We love Christ and desire to make Him known.
Knowing Jesus produces in us a passion for Him and a deep love and reverent fear of Him. This drives us to love God and love others by desiring that God's Word would be shared, understood, lived, and known.

Our mission is therefore to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the salvation of the lost and the edification of the Church.

At Magnify Dance Ministry, we aim to captivate audiences by telling Gospel stories through dance, weaving a tapestry of scripture, live worship music, and spoken testimonies. Each outreach performance is a testament to our dedication to impacting lives for The Kingdom and spreading the fame of Jesus to our local community.

Magnify offers a variety of dance classes to students of all ages for the purpose of biblical mentorship. We hope to train dancers in knowing how worthy God is to be praised, and how we can do that through the art form of dance!

This world is not our home.

These questions began pressing upon my heart as I continued in the competitive dance world. As the world seemed to “grow darker” in 2020, another question echoed through our family: Are we helping build God's eternal Kingdom, or simply feeding the beast?

The Lord began stirring a desire for something different. Through growing me in my knowledge of His Word, my desire to obey and cherish God and His Word also grew. Step by step, He led. He opened doors no one could open, provided what we could never provide ourselves, and faithfully equipped us for the work He was calling us to do. Along the way, He connected us with an incredible community of believers who shared the same longing: to glorify Christ through the performing arts.

In that season of prayer and questioning, the word "magnify" continually encouraged and challenged us. "My soul magnifies the Lord" (Luke 1:46), reminded us that God alone is worthy of all praise. Our lives are not meant to magnify ourselves but to make His greatness known. We were also encouraged by Luke 1:45 "Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord". God is faithful to every promise He makes, and what He calls us to, He faithfully equips us for.

Today, Magnify Dance Ministry exists to help dancers use their God-given gifts to exalt the name of Jesus Christ. In a culture that often challenges God's perfect and unchanging truth, we seek to proclaim the hope of the Gospel, remind others of the precious and eternal promises found in His Word, and encourage hearts to fix their eyes on the One who is worthy of all glory.

Dance. Worship. Testify. For the Fame of His Name.

Christians are called to share the light of Christ. In a world that pulls, distracts, and crowds our attention, we desire to point people back to the infinitely great God who alone is worthy of all praise, attention, and adoration.

Though God's greatness is completely independent of our praise, He does not become greater because we praise Him, we desire to make BIG His name by proclaiming and displaying the greatness of who God IS: His character, His holiness, His goodness, His faithfulness, His mercy, and His glory.

The name Magnify comes from the Greek word megalynō (μεγαλύνω), meaning “to magnify, exalt, or declare great.” In Scripture, it can be used literally of making something greater in size, but it is also used figuratively of extolling, praising, exalting, and proclaiming the greatness of someone.

The word is related to megas (μέγας, μέγας), meaning “great, large, or mighty.” Another related word, megalōsynē (μεγαλωσύνη, μεγαλωσύνη), means “majesty” or “greatness” and is used in Scripture in reference to God's majesty.

This is the heart behind the name Magnify: we declare how great He already is. Through dance, through our words, through our character, and through every aspect of our lives, we desire to point others toward the greatness of God and the glory of Jesus Christ.

God’s Word Is Our Foundation

• God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

• We are created in His image, and His breath is in our lungs.

• He is the giver of every good gift; our gifts belong to Him.

• His Kingdom is eternal, and through Jesus we have the hope of Heaven.

• We were created to worship Him. He alone is worthy of all praise. (Colossians 1)

• Our treasure is found in Heaven, not in earthly things. (Matthew 6:19–21)

• Seeking to know Christ is more important than learning to dance.(Matthew 6:33; Psalm 40:8)

• Apart from Christ, we can do nothing of eternal value; in Him, we bear much fruit.(John 15)

• We seek to display the fruit of the Spirit in our lives through the Holy Spirit's work in us. (Galatians 5:22–23)

• Dance is a tool we can use to magnify His name. It is intended for God's praise, not our own. (Psalm 149:3; Jeremiah 31:13)

At Magnify, we focus on three ways we can praise Him through dance:

1. Through our heart posture
We rely on God's strength, help, and guidance, seeking to walk in step with the Holy Spirit. Our ability is nothing compared to His strength, and He is faithful to help us.

2. Through gratitude
Because of what Christ has done for us on the cross, we offer our choreography as an act of thanksgiving and praise.

3. Through sharing the Gospel
Because of the love God has poured out on us and the passion He has given us for Christ, we use the tool of dance to point others to Him and share the Gospel.
